Description
‘Corabella the Caterpillar and the secret of the magical magic bean’ is the third children’s book, written and illustrated by Mireille van Yperen. The story of Corabella starts during the childhood of her own children. Both children soon developed an eating problem, not willing to eat vegetables and fruit. Mireille tackled this creatively by telling stories about the food at the table. Green peas became magic beans and carrots became magic wands. Because both kids wanted to grow so much, they tried out new colours. It worked perfectly because they have both grown into two wonderfull adults.
Children on the autistic spectrum, in particular, are often afraid to try new flavours. Texture, color, shape, everything seems different to them than children who are not in the autistic spectrum. This picture book tells in a fun way that you don’t have to be afraid to make new friends and not to be afraid to taste new things.
